Reverse description Long voided cross pattee extending to the inner circle divides the field into four quadrants, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation within a curved compartment, forming the characteristic quartered arms of England and France. Fleurs-de-lis appear at the angles of the cross arms. The reverse legend, in uncial Gothic lettering between two beaded borders, reads clockwise and identifies both the pious motto and the Bristol mint, with the mint name rendered as VILLA BRISTOLL in two segments divided by the cross terminals.
