Reverse description A long cross pattée extending to the coin's edge divides the field into four quarters, with three large pellets arranged in each angle; two diagonally opposite angles each bear an additional small pellet, a diagnostic feature of the Heavy cross coinage issue. Two concentric circular legends, separated by a beaded border, encircle the central cross, with the mint name appearing in the outer legend. The overall design follows the standard late medieval Irish groat format as struck at the Dublin mint.
