Reverse description Long voided cross pattee extending to the coin's beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four quadrants each containing a ornate cross-hatched panel with three pellets arranged in a triangular grouping, all enclosed within a beaded tressure of arches. The arrangement is typical of the standard English groat reverse design of the period. The two-line legend in uncial Latin lettering is divided between the inner legend — referencing the king's devotional motto — and the outer legend naming the mint city of London, the two separated by a beaded border.
