Reverse description The reverse displays a bold Latin inscription arranged across the field in two or three lines, reading VT COMMО DIVS, an abbreviated motto referencing the utilitarian purpose of the coinage. The lettering is large and deeply struck relative to the flan size, with the text occupying the majority of the central field. A partial beaded or dotted border is visible around the periphery. The flan is clipped and irregular at the edges, obscuring portions of any surrounding legend. The inscription style is consistent with hammered copper issues of the Kingdom of Sicily under Spanish rule.
