| Aanvullende informatie |
Carlo III here is Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor, whose claim to Sicily was formalized through the Treaty of The Hague in 1720 — the same agreement that forced Savoy to swap Sicily for Sardinia. The island's coinage was consequently reorganized almost immediately, making this a transitional issue struck during a narrow administrative window before Austrian bureaucratic norms fully took hold in Palermo.
