Obverse description Central vignette of President Sténio Joseph Vincent (1874–1959) in formal attire, set within an elaborate guilloche border. The bank title BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI arches across the top, with the denomination UNE GOURDE inscribed below the portrait. Serial numbers appear at upper left and upper right, with two signature lines at the bottom centre above the imprint of the American Bank Note Company.

Reverse description The central motif is the Haitian national coat of arms — a palm tree flanked by cannons and cannonballs, with a royal palm surmounted by the Cap of Liberty, all enclosed within a dense guilloche framework. The bank title BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI curves around the upper border, and the denomination UNE GOURDE appears in a decorative cartouche at the foot of the design. The imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY is present at the lower margin.
