A small six-pointed star appears before the lion's breast. The surrounding Latin legend, interrupted by the date, reads WILHE[LM] • D • G • LAND • HASS • C • C • D • Z • E • N LH 1638, identifying Landgrave Wilhelm V of Hesse-Cassel by his titles.
