The Arabic numeral date 1532 appears above the shield in the field. A circular legend in Gothic lettering surrounds the central device, naming the co-ruling dukes William IV and Louis X. The hammered flan shows characteristic irregular edges typical of early sixteenth-century Bavarian gold coinage. |
