A beaded inner circle separates the central design from the surrounding marginal legend. The design follows the reverse convention established by the Electoral Rhenish goldgulden series. The circumferential legend in uncial Latin characters reads: + MOnETA NOVIA DVREnSI, identifying this as a new coinage of Düren. |
