| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of the Archbishop in pontifical vestments, enthroned and holding a crozier in his right hand, with a mitre upon his head. Beneath the figure, a shield bearing the arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne is displayed. The design is executed in the characteristic Gothic hammered style of the Rhenish goldgulden tradition. A beaded inner circle frames the central type, with a Latin legend running along the outer border. |

| Reverse description | A large shield bearing the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne — displaying the distinctive checky cross of Cologne — occupies the central field, surrounded by a beaded inner circle. The heraldic shield is rendered in a bold Gothic style consistent with mid-fifteenth-century Rhenish coinage. A continuous Latin legend reading THEOD-ERIC-VS-ARCHIEP surrounds the shield within the outer border, punctuated by stops. The reverse design follows the standard reverse type established for the Cologne archiepiscopal goldgulden series. |
