At the top is the impaled arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne and the Palatinate; to the left, a rampant lion; to the right, a rampant lion facing; at the base, the wheel of Mainz or a rosette device. The arms are separated by foliate or trefoil ornaments. The surrounding legend, reading *MONE NOVA·AVREA*BUNNE*+, identifies this as the new gold money of Bonn, enclosed within a beaded border. |
