| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of Archbishop Rupert of the Palatinate, vested in pontifical robes and wearing a crown, standing facing in the field. He holds a crozier in his left hand and appears to carry a book or reliquary in his right. The figure is rendered in the late Gothic hammered style with pronounced drapery folds. A beaded inner circle frames the central image, with the Latin uncial legend surrounding the effigy in the outer field. |
