| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered arms of Archbishop Otto of Ziegenhain displayed on a large pointed heraldic shield set within a quadrefoil frame, surmounted by a bishop's mitre. Three smaller subsidiary shields occupy the lateral and lower lobes of the quadrefoil, bearing the arms of associated territories including Sponheim and Katzenelnbogen. The composition is executed in the characteristic Gothic heraldic style of the Rhenish goldgulden, with the legend in uncial characters running between two beaded borders. |
