At his feet, the civic arms of Deventer are displayed, serving as a mint identifier. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin reads MON DE DAVENTRIA, denoting this as the coinage of Deventer. A beaded border frames the central composition, consistent with the hammered goldgulden tradition of the Lower Rhine region. |
