| Beschrijving voorzijde | Enthroned frontal figure of Saint Peter, patron saint of Cologne, depicted in episcopal vestments with nimbus, holding a cross-staff in his right hand and a book in his left. The figure is flanked on either side by a turreted tower, characteristic of the Rhenish goldgulden type. The design is rendered in the Gothic hammered style, with the saint seated on a throne visible beneath the drapery. A beaded inner circle frames the central design, with the legend in uncial Gothic lettering running along the outer margin of the obverse field. |
