| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a shield bearing the arms of Trier (an upright cross) impaled with those of Cologne (three horizontal bars), displayed within a six-lobed Gothic tracery frame with trefoil ornaments at each lobe junction. The composition is rendered in high relief characteristic of 14th-century Rhenish hammered goldgulden. A circular legend in Gothic uncial characters surrounds the central device, reading the name and title of Archbishop Kuno of Falkenstein as administrator of Trier. |

The saint holds a key in his right hand and wears episcopal robes, nimbed with a halo; flanking pinnacles with crocketed finials fill the field on either side. A circular legend in Gothic uncial lettering surrounds the design, identifying this as a vicariate issue of the Cologne mint. |
