Reverse description A large heraldic shield at center, divided per pale, displaying on the dexter side a plain cross (the arms of the Archbishopric of Trier) and on the sinister side a field of scales or lozengy pattern (the personal arms of the von Falkenstein family). The shield is surmounted by an archbishop's mitre and set within a cusped inner frame. The surrounding circular legend in Gothic uncial script reads CVNO ARCHIEPS TREV, identifying the issuer as Archbishop Kuno of Trier, with small pellet stops separating the legend elements.
