Obverse description Saint Peter enthroned on a Gothic-style throne, shown in full frontal view in episcopal vestments. Below the figure, two heraldic shields display the arms of Münzenberg and Saarwerden respectively. The surrounding field is enclosed by a beaded inner circle, with the archbishop's name and title rendered in an encircling Gothic uncial legend.
