Reverse description The arms of Mainz — a silver wheel on red — displayed centrally within a cusped quatrefoil frame. In each of the four cusped tips surrounding the central shield are placed the arms of the four Rhenish Electoral princes: Cologne (upper left), Trier (upper right), Bavaria-Pfalz (lower left), and Nassau (lower right), reflecting the electoral college composition of the period. A Latin legend encircles the design within a beaded border.
