Reverse description Quartered heraldic composition at centre, featuring four shields arranged around a central quatrefoil boss: at top the arms of Trier (a cross), at left a wheel (arms of Mainz or electoral symbol), at right the Hungarian-style arms (stripes), and at base an eagle or similar charge. The shields are separated by ornate Gothic tracery forming a cross-like framework. The peripheral legend in Gothic uncial script runs continuously around the outer border, identifying the mint and denomination.
