Reverse description A double-headed Imperial eagle displayed in the center of the field, its two heads crowned and facing outward, bearing an orb surmounted by a cross on its breast, rendered in the bold hammered technique characteristic of the period. The eagle fills the majority of the inner circle, its wings spread and feathers stylized in the manner of early seventeenth-century German die work. A Latin circumferential legend within a beaded border identifies this as the new gold coinage of Zweibrücken (Bipont).
