| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central quartered or composite heraldic shield displaying the combined arms of the Lordship of Gronsveld, surmounted by a prominent crown, with three smaller subsidiary escutcheons arranged around the principal shield — including a lion rampant to the upper left and further armorial bearings to the right and base — all within a cusped or trilobate inner border typical of Rhenish goldgulden reverses. The circumferential legend in Gothic uncial characters reads ⸰ MOnE ⸰ ⸰ nOVA ⸰ ⸰ AV ⸰ GRO ⸰, proclaiming this as the new gold coin of Gronsfeld. The hammered flan shows characteristic irregular edges consistent with early sixteenth-century Low Countries minting practice. |
