| Obverse description | Two adjacent oval shields of arms set side by side within elaborate baroque cartouche frames, the dexter shield bearing a crozier (arms of the Bishopric of Eichstätt) and the sinister shield displaying a quartered episcopal device, all contained within a raised inner circle. The surrounding field is plain, and the peripheral legend runs clockwise in Roman capital letters separated by pellets and a cross patée. The overall style is characteristic of early seventeenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage, with ornate scrollwork uniting the two escutcheons. |
