Between the saint's feet appears a small shield bearing the civic coat of arms of Kampen. The figure is rendered in the simplified, hieratic style typical of Rhenish and Lower Rhine goldgulden types. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the surrounding legend, which identifies the coin as gold coinage of Kampen. |
