| Reverse description | A floriated cross with scepter-tipped arms occupies the central field, the crossings decorated in ornamental Gothic style. Four small heraldic shields of arms are placed in the four angles formed by the cross arms, each bearing arms associated with the Hohenzollern margraves of Brandenburg. A circular legend in Latin uncial script reading MONE NO AVR BERLINENSIS surrounds the design, identifying this as the new gold money of Berlin. The reverse follows the standard compositional layout of contemporary German goldgulden coinage. |
