Reverse description The heraldic shield of the Archbishopric of Cologne — party per fess with the Cologne cross above and the Saarwerden arms below — displayed centrally within a sexfoil frame. Small groups of three dots are placed in the spandrels between the lobes of the sexfoil. A circular Latin legend in uncial lettering runs around the periphery within a beaded border, identifying the coin as a monetary issue of the Holy Roman Empire.
