| Obverse description | Full-length facing figure of St. John the Baptist, depicted in flowing robes with a nimbus, holding the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) in his left arm while his right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing. The saint stands within a beaded inner circle, rendered in the late Gothic hammered style characteristic of Franconian goldgulden coinage. The peripheral Latin legend encircles the figure, separated from the central design by the beaded border. |
