| Obverse description | Elaborately mantled and crowned coat of arms of Prince-Bishop Friedrich Karl von Schönborn, surmounted by a bishop's mitre and a princely crown with crossed sword and crozier behind the shield. The quartered arms display the heraldic devices of Würzburg and the Schönborn family, all within a decorative mantle. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire device, reading the full titulature of the Prince-Bishop. The coin exhibits fine baroque engraving characteristic of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |
