| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device depicting the crowned coat of arms of Deventer — a shield bearing a rampant lion — surmounted by an elaborate ornate helmet with flowing mantling filling the field on either side. A small crown sits atop the helmet. The peripheral legend in Latin runs continuously around the coin within a beaded or dotted inner border, characteristic of hammered coinage of the early seventeenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A crowned Imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the centre of the field, its two heads facing outward and surmounted by a single large crown. On the breast of the eagle is a globus cruciger, emblematic of Imperial authority. The surrounding Latin legend names the reigning Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II and his titles, running within a beaded border around the entire circumference of the coin. |
