Obverse description Quartered shield at center, displaying the arms of Württemberg: the upper quarters bear three stag antlers on a striped field, while the lower quarters feature an eagle and additional heraldic charges. The shield is surmounted by a crowned helmet with mantling and set within the circular field. The surrounding legend in Latin reads D:G.CHRISTOP.DVX.WIRTEM.ET.TEC., identifying Duke Christoph of Württemberg and Teck by the grace of God.

Reverse description A displayed Imperial double-headed eagle with both heads crowned beneath a single large imperial crown, occupying the central field. The eagle's wings are spread and its body rendered in fine hammered detail typical of mid-sixteenth-century German goldsmith work. The encircling Latin legend CAROLI.V.IMP. AVG.P.F.DECRETO references the decree of Emperor Charles V, under whose imperial authority the goldgulden coinage was sanctioned.
