| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a quadripartite shield of arms in an ornate baroque cartouche, the four quarters displaying the dynastic emblems of the Ernestine Wettin line, including horizontal barry stripes and rampant lions. A ducal crown surmounts the shield, its base flanking the divided date 16-84. The circular Latin legend reads CHRISTIANUS D G DUX SAX I C & MONT, identifying Duke Christian of Saxe-Eisenberg by name and title. The design is rendered in high relief with finely detailed scrollwork framing the escutcheon. The coin's milled edge is visible at the periphery. |

| Reverse description | A tall, naturalistic palm tree with spreading fronds and visible root base occupies the central field, set within an inner circle. The tree, a symbol associated with the Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft (Fruitbearing Society) and emblematic of virtue and resilience, is depicted rising from a ground line. The surrounding Latin legend reads SAT CITO QUIA SAT BENE FLOR AUR SAX GOTH, a motto meaning 'Soon enough, because well enough,' followed by the denomination and issuing authority designation. The reverse field is otherwise plain, emphasizing the emblematic device. |
