| Beschrijving keerzijde | Four heraldic shields arranged in a cruciform pattern around a central ornamental boss, each shield set within a cusped lobe: the Hohenzollern quartered arms (sable and argent) at upper center, a lion rampant at left, a quartered cross shield at right, and a lion rampant at lower center, the whole enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend in Gothic script occupies the outer border, with the date appearing within the legend on dated examples. |

Brandenburg-Franconia's joint coinage under Casimir and George reflects the peculiar dynastic arrangement following the 1515 partition of the Hohenzollern Franconian territories between the two brothers. Rather than dividing the minting operation, they struck coins in both names simultaneously — a practical accommodation that lasted until Casimir's death in 1527 effectively ended the arrangement.
Fr#307 is among the scarcer Franconian gold issues of the period, with surviving examples concentrated in German institutional collections.
