Obverse description Full-length frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist, nimbed and draped in flowing robes, standing within a beaded inner circle and cradling the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) in his arms. The saint's halo is rendered in high relief, and his garments fall in naturalistic Gothic folds. A Latin legend in Gothic script runs within the outer border, separated from the inner circle by a finely engraved beaded ring.
