Obverse description Central quartered shield with rounded top, pointed base, and concave sides, displaying the four-fold arms of the Fugger family: upper-left quarter bears two lions passant, upper-right a standing female figure (the Fugger lily), lower-left three horizontal wavy bars, and lower-right a fleur-de-lis or similar charge. The shield is set within an inner circle, surrounded by a circumferential Latin legend in the outer border.

Reverse description A large spread double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings fully extended and detailed feather rendering rendered in the hammered style typical of mid-sixteenth century German goldgulden coinage. The eagle fills the inner circle almost entirely, its two heads turned outward. A circumferential Latin legend referencing Emperor Charles V runs in the outer border, separated from the eagle by a beaded or linear inner ring.
