| Additional information |
Albert of Hohenzollern served as the last Grand Master of the Teutonic Order before secularizing the Prussian territory in 1525, converting to Lutheranism and transforming the Order's Prussian holdings into a hereditary duchy under Polish suzerainty. These gulden were struck during the final years of his Grand Mastership, just before that rupture made further issues in the Order's name impossible. The Teutonic Order never struck another coin in Prussia after 1525.
