Obverse description Enthroned Madonna facing, holding the Christ Child on her left arm, both figures rendered in Gothic style with radiating glory surrounding them; the shield of the Teutonic Order appears at the base beneath the Virgin's feet. A circular Latin legend runs within a beaded border around the entire design, with the inscription divided by small stops.

Reverse description An ornate cross pattée occupies the central field, with a heraldic shield placed in each of the four angles bearing the arms of Brandenburg, Pomerania, Hohenzollern, and Meissen respectively; an eagle is displayed at the center where the arms of the cross intersect. The whole composition is enclosed within a beaded circular border with a Latin circumscription.
