| 裏面の説明 | The reverse depicts the enthroned Virgin Mary, crowned and nimbed, seated facing and holding the Christ Child on her left knee, with Duke Albert IV kneeling in adoration at her right in armour. The figures are rendered in high relief in the expressive late Gothic hammered style. A beaded inner circle frames the central composition, with the devotional Latin legend distributed around the outer border. The inscription reflects the duke's personal Marian devotion and serves as a pious invocation. |

Albert IV of Bavaria died in 1508, just two years after this issue, having spent much of his reign consolidating Wittelsbach territorial control and — crucially — pushing through the primogeniture law of 1506 that ended the ruinous Bavarian practice of subdividing ducal lands among all male heirs. That legislation is the political backdrop against which this coin was struck: a duchy finally reorganizing itself for dynastic stability after generations of partition.
The Wittenberg reference Witt#189b distinguishes this from closely related Albert IV types, a series where small die differences carry meaningful cataloguing weight.
