| Obverse description | Enthroned archbishop Adolf I von Nassau facing front, vested in full pontifical robes and wearing a mitre, seated within an architectural Gothic canopy flanked by pinnacled towers. The figure holds a crozier in his left hand, with the right raised in blessing. Below the throne, a small heraldic shield bearing the Nassau arms (billetty with a lion) is prominently displayed. The circular legend in uncial Gothic lettering runs along the beaded outer border. |
