Reverse description The Imperial double-headed eagle of the Holy Roman Empire displayed in the center of the field, wings spread, each head surmounted by a crown and both heads together beneath an additional arch crown above, with orb on breast. The date is inscribed in the lower field between the eagle's talons. The circumferential legend RUDOLPHUS II D G ROM IMP SEMP AUG, separated by pellet stops, identifies the reigning Emperor Rudolf II as the imperial authority under whose sanction the coin was struck.
