Obverse description Imperial eagle displayed with wings spread, facing forward, set within a beaded inner circle. The eagle, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of mid-15th century Nuremberg coinage, occupies the full field. A circular uncial Latin legend runs between the inner beaded border and the outer milled rim, reading MONETA NORINBERGE or similar, identifying the issuing city.
