| Obverse description | A large stylized Florentine lily (fleur-de-lis) occupies the central field, rendered in the Gothic hammered tradition with bold relief and crosshatched detailing on the lateral petals. The stem rises from a decorative base, flanked symmetrically by the characteristic lobed lower petals. A circular legend in uncial Latin script surrounds the device along the coin's inner border, reading FLOR LVBIA, identifying this piece as a Lübeck imitation of the Florentine gold florin. The overall design closely follows the Florentine prototype but with the local civic inscription substituted for the original FLOR ENTIA legend. |
