Firesteels (briquets), flints, and sparks — emblems of the Order of the Golden Fleece — are displayed at either side of the canopy. The peripheral legend in uncial Gothic lettering is separated by mullets and runs clockwise within a beaded inner border. The overall composition reflects the high Gothic craftsmanship characteristic of Flemish hammered gold coinage of the mid-fifteenth century. |

| Mô tả mặt sau | A large, intricately quartered heraldic shield bearing the composite arms of Burgundy — incorporating the lilies of France ancient, the lions of Brabant, Limburg, and other Burgundian territories — is superimposed upon a floriated cross with elaborate trefoil terminals that extend to the coin's inner border. The four quarters of the cross are filled with Gothic floral ornament in high relief. The peripheral legend in uncial Gothic lettering, punctuated by mullets, encircles the design within a beaded border, the whole executed with characteristic mid-fifteenth-century Brabantine hammered precision. |
