| Obverse lettering | HENRICVS II DEI G FRANCOR REX (Translation: Henry II, by God`s grace, king of the Franks.) |
| Reverse description | Central ornate cross formed by four interlaced letter H's, with the mintmark B at the centre, surmounted by a royal crown at the top and flanked by a crescent moon to the upper right. The four quadrants formed by the cross arms are filled alternately with a fleur-de-lis and a dolphin (or royal badge), creating a heraldic composition characteristic of Henrician coinage. The circumferential Latin legend DVM TOTVM COMPLEAT ORBEM, accompanied by the date 1559 and mintmark B, runs along the outer border. |
