Obverse description Right-facing draped and armored bust of King Henry II, wearing elaborately damascened parade armor with richly detailed chasing visible across the breastplate and pauldrons. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Renaissance portrait style, with the king's hair cropped short and the neck bare above the gorget. A beaded inner border frames the design, while the Latin legend runs along the outer periphery, interrupted at the top by the bust itself.
