| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) in right-facing profile, rendered in the Baroque court portrait style. The king's hair is elaborately dressed with tight curls at the temple and a queue tied with a ribbon at the nape, consistent with mid-18th century Prussian royal portraiture. The truncation of the bust is cut cleanly at the shoulder. The circular legend FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX runs along the periphery, divided by the portrait. |
