| Reverse description | The reverse depicts the enthroned figure of Jesus Christ in a frontal blessing pose, raising his right hand in benediction and holding a cruciferous banner (staff surmounted by a cross) in his left hand, set within an arched architectural frame or sill. To the left of the central figure appears the civic arms of Ravenna, and to the right the arms of Cardinal Fieschi, the papal legate. The scene is framed by a circular Latin legend around the periphery, punctuated by stops, identifying the Ravenna church of the Holy Resurrection. |
