Beschrijving voorzijde The papal coat of arms of Clement XI (Giovanni Francesco Albani) occupies the central field, displaying the family arms — a chief with an eight-pointed star above two fesses and a mount of three hills — surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys, all set within an ornate baroque cartouche flanked by symmetrical foliate and scroll branches. The circular Latin legend reads CLEMENS·XI PONT M·A·II, identifying the pontiff and his regnal year. The coin exhibits fine milled edge dentils around the entire circumference. The heraldic shield is rendered in high relief in the prevailing Roman baroque style of the early eighteenth century.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse bears a five-line biblical inscription — SI / AFFLVANT / NOLITE / COR / APPONERE — derived from Psalm 61:11 (Vulgate), meaning 'If riches increase, set not your heart upon them,' enclosed within an elaborate ornate baroque cartouche with scrollwork framing above and below. The date 1702 appears in a sixth line at the foot of the inscription within the lower scroll of the frame. The field surrounding the cartouche is plain, with milled dentils running along the coin's edge. The entire design reflects the typographical and engraving conventions of the Rome Mint under Clement XI.
