Reverse description A draped and bearded bust of Pope Saint Pontianus faces to the right, depicted with a papal vestment visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic late Renaissance style, with fine detailing to the beard and drapery. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading S PONTIANVS PONT MAX, identifying the subject as Saint Pontianus, Pontifex Maximus. The beaded border frames the design, and the somewhat uneven strike is consistent with hammered silver coinage of the Lordship of Frinco.
