| Obverse description | Central field bears the crowned royal cypher of Gustav II Adolf, formed by an elaborate interlaced monogram surmounted by a crown, with the Vasa sheaf emblem incorporated into the design. The letter 'G' appears to the lower left and 'R' to the lower right of the monogram, flanking the Vasa arms device.
