正面描述 Central device comprising a tiered royal crown (coronet) in the Thai ceremonial style, raised on a lotus pedestal, flanked on either side by a multi-tiered royal umbrella (Chatra) symbolising royal rank. Radiating lines emanate from the apex of the crown toward the upper rim, conveying divine light. The entire composition is rendered in high relief against a smooth field, enclosed within a beaded border.

附加信息

In 1869, Chulalongkorn (Rama V) was still a minor under the regency of Si Suriyawong, and the Siamese mint was actively experimenting with Western-style coinage formats to replace the traditional bullet money still dominant in circulation. Pattern pieces from this transitional window are rarely documented with precision — production figures were not systematically recorded, and many trial strikes left the Royal Mint through unofficial channels. Medal alignment on a coin of this size suggests European die-press influence, almost certainly British, given the Royal Mint's advisory role in Bangkok during the 1860s.
